Our Mission

Pacific Coast Volleyball Camps was founded by Tony Fathergill in 1997 in San Jose, California. With the help of a great coaching staff comprised of many successful college, club and high school coaches I wanted to create a traveling style of volleyball skills camp that could reach and enhance the youth volleyball community. Through my many years of experience both as a high level athlete and coach I have found a great need for programs to attend camps and other learning opportunities in order to enhance their overall knowledge and expertise of the sport of volleyball.

I have designed PCV camps as a vehicle to reach the growing number of volleyball student- athletes across the country. Our mission has been to enhance the overall level of skills in hopes of our student- athletes reaching their goals and aspirations within the great sport of volleyball. Our goals have always been set on offering something better and more detailed than what most other camps offer. Through my extensive experience of coaching many college level camps around the country I decided that those camps aren't necessarily beneficial to every high school or club athlete.

Sometimes these larger college camps can be overwhelming and defeat the purpose of gaining individual and team knowledge. Most high school programs that attend these camps are in over their heads and not to mention their programs budget. Some of these camps are more worried about quantity and not quality and perhaps overload athletes with too many sessions (I have found that most athletes cannot keep up with the pace).

With PCV Camps I have been driven to develop a custom camp system that has a more personalized effect on our student- athletes and coaches. We want to show you how to become 'Students of the Game'!

Since we travel right to your athletic facility we offer many unique benefits such as:

  • The ability to analyze and evaluate your entire program in its natural environment.
  • PCV Camps help keep the enrollment fees down and offers a scholarship/ fundraising program for athletes who could not otherwise afford a volleyball camp opportunity.
  • We can maximize individual attention and quality repetitions with a low coach to athlete ratio (12 athletes to 1 coach)
  • An excellent Team Bonding experience without all the hassles of traveling. We would rather spend our time on the court- learning.
  • The ability to give your head and assistant coach's great feedback and individual time in order to raise their level of court knowledge.
  • A fun and friendly environment while learning the essential skills of volleyball.
